I think they found it by accident while looking for shipwrecks and dubloons. The news said that they've been looking in that trench for 2 months. I assume whoever went to all the trouble of putting a plane at the bottom of the ocean would want it to be discovered. So maybe whoever that is had knowledge that this salvage boat was going to be out there searching that area. I'm positive it is not the same plane and that Jack and everyone's bodies are on it, that just doesn't make any sense at all no way. I believe that someone, some group, did that. What confuses me is the who and the why.

If the plane was on its way to L.A., why travel west? It's the longest way to L.A. The plane should have been heading east towards Hawaii and L.A. It makes no sense for the plane to be near Bali.

Then how do they later explain the Oceanic 6 if it is confirmed now that all 324 are dead?

CableRunner and Tessa A. - great minds think alike (lol!) I had the exact same thought - everyone perished... yet there is a group called the Oceanic 6? How is that going to be explained? I like how Sam and the online game Find815 were part of the actual show! Makes me more and more suspicious about The Maxwell Group!

Thank you, thank you... Lost in Hazzard.. I was just moving along that line of thinking as well, someone knowing the ROV teams would be in the trench and placed a plane there. Paik is heavy industries, which includes large shipping, it probably wouldn't be tough for them to drop down pre-loaded and pre=broken up pieces of a dummy plane.

Good question Aljoe. you'd think they would have found the plane on the east side of Australia right? So what idiot put the wreck in the wrong place? Should this be a huge sign that the wreckage is fake, or does it just add to the mystery?

I don't think Sam from find 815 was in the show unfortunately. When I first saw the underwater ROV's I thought the same thing. In the episode there are two ROV's one of them is being operated by a guy named Ron. Then they say something like "these are the coordinates we pulled off our guys map" I think this "guy" of whom they speak could be any of the three guys in the find 815 game. It's kind of a weird transition I know, but I guess they have to keep the games seperate from the show itself.

i think whoever sent sam the email from find815, wasn't in fact a "friend" but someone who led him there purposely. someone wanted that wreckage to be found, so that the world will give up looking for survivors, so that people like sam will stop looking for their loved ones...
