Dan to study what you've already mentioned, Charolette to study classic ruins, Miles to study spirituality (i.e. Jacob) and the pilot I forget his name to give insight on the plane wreck, and maybe placing himself on the island which would have happened if he was flying 815 that day it crashed.

the pilot would have been eaten by smokey if he had flown the plane as planned just as the pilot who actually flew the plane did would he?

darnzy, good point about Miles and why he'd be included in a mission like this. Gotta be something about Jakob and his powers.

And where's Smokey by the way? I loved it when the first question Locke asked Ben turned out to be "What's this monster?" (remember, after Locke took the gun from James and said he'd clean his own mess- and though Locke looked rather determined to do that, I doubt that he'd really shoot Ben, by the way.) I took the line as a humorous gesture of LOST producers for the die-hard fans and one of their fav questions about the island..

I think smokey knew he wasn't the scheduled pilot and killed him for it. That other pilot wasn't supposed to be there. He was supposed to be on Heroes.

i think if frank the (pilot) was flying the plane then maybe it wouldnt of crashed. just like the helicopter??

Here's another interesting question if Frank Lapidus was flying 815 would it have gotten lost? Do you guys think maybe the other pilot had something to do with them ending up on the island? (other than the obvious) And exactly why didn't Lapidus fly 815 that day?

It could be something very simple like he was feeling sick.

But the fact they made it a really big deal makes me think there was a very sinister reason.

Also the fact in became obsessed with the whole deal makes me think he may be very special. Maybe he can see the future like Desmond?

Did anyone watch the "enhanced" episode of "confirmed dead" last night? The pop up bar at the bottom of the screen revealed that when Faraday is crying in the beginning the woman with him is not his mom, a girlfriend, or a wife, but a caretaker. What does this say about what Faraday's life is like?

Where did that little tidbit come from? Usually the stuff at the bottom points out things we (we, as in, people obsessed with the show) already know from past episodes. I pride myself on knowing those little things but that was a total shocker.
