why is it that that those polar bear boines had been there for such a long time....i really hope that they arent in some kind of time warp or something haha...

I don't like these Multiple Time line/Time warp theories. There making the show way too obvious! If its true then this show won't have a huge twist because we already predicted it. It would be depressing.

Pip, with all the theories on the net... SOMEONE has to have predicted it. It won't be depressing. I know House is going to cure the girl with the lumps behind her eyeballs, but I still watch to see how.

i agree but maybe its what they want us to think. It was an interesting scene for sure though. also a couple of the new characters seem intriging.

I'd enjoy it if It was just people LOST on an island and the island had some special connections with past civilizations.

Time Travel and Multiple Timelines are just too Fictiony.

I think the show went "fictiony" for me when a huge plane slammed into an island with jet fuel all over everything and A) people survived B) no one suffered any of the horrid effects being exposed to jet fuel can cause C) and later that night there were mysterious noises from the jungle accompanied by trees bursting into the air... And yet, despite all the "fictiony"ness - I think it is the best thing on tv and have waited nine months to see the start of season four (not to mention joined this site, researched endless things concerning the show, etc...)

Plus I don't think they would just give us a time warp - there will be some huge twist to the time warp (if you think a time warp is going to be the answer) There will be twists! Who could have predicted all the stuff from last night's episode?

Are we sure that the bear is 'ancient' ? Isn't it possible that it was there in the 60s or 70s? Maybe Dharma had a set up in the desert like they did on the island. Maybe they had several little colonies in different parts of the world. Maybe these 4 people, Naomi and the the Abbadon fellow are connected to Dharma. That is why they are after Ben, he killed all their people and hijacked the experiment... just a thought

i agree with queen bee. i put a lot of stock into the time warp theory but then that would mean all our losties would be dead at the bottom of the ocean. however, last nights ep threw me for a loop when there's a possibility that the pilot is not really the pilot. so who knows????
