nothing happened? we find out there was an "oceanic six", hurley willing goes into a mental hospital to avoid seeing dead people, he is still being visited by creepy dharma people who want to know if "they are still alive"; he's lying to the police about sh*t he's lived through...jack starts drinking and we know that something very very terrible happens to these losties after the "rescuers" parachute in.

not to mention that the castaways are all reunited, only to divide down the middle for their allegiances to either jack or locke, naomi is dead, hurley saw jacob, and jack is standing in the sopping jungle looking at a guy who just dropped in from the sky to say "are you jack?"

did you watch the same episode that i did, because, a lot happened, dude.

I sort of agree that nothing much happened. I mean, we got a lot of info, fo' sure. But it was all mostly in the flash fowards, which were excellent. The island stuff was good, but something was kinda missing in my opinion. Something I had a problem with last season was how 2 episodes could have easily been condensed into 1 without any real loss in quality. I don't want that to happen again this season, and I thought the agreed upon shorter season was going to fix it. We'll see what happens.

I totally agree. I voted doesn't get any better than that. I do admit that I would have watched the palm trees, I was just thrilled it was back. Loved it.

They really ended the crazyness of the season finale. It was a very satisfying premiere. Lots of stuff happened.

We got to see Jacobs Cabin. How Often does that happen? We got too see another Locke VS. Jack confrontation. We got to see TONS of stuff in flashfoward. We got to see there reaction to charlies death. We got the freighter people arriving. Naomi died! SO MUCH HAPPENED!

Yea i loved it. I wasn't bored for one second. Great season premiere!

I loved it too! Ok, maybe I'm a little affected by the fact that this was the first episode after a looooooong time. I'd probably vote "doesn't get better than that" even if the episode had been horrible.

It was beyond what I expected. The new characters are so fresh, we don't know what the hell to expect from them.

Yes all obvious stuff this episode, nothing new to learn. But will re watch it to see if i missed some hidden stuff, usualy do the first few times wathcing episodes

I don't want to seem desperate, but I would even vote the commercials for the season 4 opener "best ever" because, *sniff*, I'm just happy Lost is back... 9 months is FAR TOO LONG to have to wait.....

The wait was long but hearing again that "previously on lost" after all those months was something! Switched from "huh" to "yeah" after the second time I watched the episode. Hurley is one of my favorite characters and I liked how the producers twisted the temporal sequence between the events going around Jack and Hurley after get off the island.
