Tri-Smog, I agree, lovecrafrian is definately at play, but didn't old HP use aliens as his factor. The only civilization I remeber him describing was an old civilization, but one that was alien in nature, found years later frozen, but crafty once they were thawed.

I just wanted, by this post, for people to admit that the heart of the isalnd is either an ancient civilization based on alien technology, or a future human tech.... It has to be one or the other, because saying the isalnd is human generated, but long ago, doesn''t explain much, there is still a mystery as to how. If not Atlantis, or something similiar, then what? This is a character driven show, or it started that way.. but we, as viewers, aren't understanding the stage that the characters are playing upon, and that's the real mystery.

AND THANSK YOU PCHEE!!! I said long ago that I read that the pinkie toe was curling up and dying in the future human, but everyone scoffed . I too think the statue may not be past, but a future monument. Do we remember when the tape for the orchid started to 'loop' back to the beginning... a clue I thinks!
