Exactly. We don't have all the stations or DI dealings clarified- I'm sure there's some crazy solution only a select group of Ben's people know about safer travel without having to go through space-time shifts. Like
daveoz started the discussion on another thread, sure there might as well be another vault-like thing that does the time-space shift trick when needed. But I'd like to think less-tricky ways gotta be possible, like the bearings Ben and Faraday had.
