[quote=katherine98;47079] That scene with Claire's boyfriend referring to her practically being disowned already - I wondered if it meant moreso that her Mom's side of the family as well has disowned her, possibly related to the accident?
POTPIES:
Well, but Claire moved in with her aunt after the accident. Aunt Lindsey was totally pissed about the accident and initially blames Claire, but she didn't throw Claire out on the street. And she was in a furious rage that Christian came to see Claire in the middle of the night. She was trying to protect Claire. You don't get that upset trying to protect someone you've disowned.
KATHERINE98:
Or couldn't it just be that her mom woke up prior to that? To me, that makes the most logical sense and would then explain her seemingly-complete recovery by the time of Christian's funeral nearly a year later.
POTPIES:
Think back to Par Avion, last season. (I think...) Claire says goodbye to her mother in the hospital and admits to her mother that she is pregnant and flying to LA the next day to give it up for adoption. To wake up and be up and around and walking and speaking coherently after 3 months would be a real miracle. Probably a bigger miracle even than Sarah's being able to walk again.
