Default The Twilight LOST

Tonight's episode was AWESOME, a lot of great character development...

However did anyone else catch the two references to that OTHER classic Sci-Fi TV Show "The Twilight Zone"

First of all, when Sawyer first encounters Locke in the hatch, the book Locke has in his hand is "An Occurance at Owl Creek Bridge"...A short-film version of this was used as the series finale of the Twilight Zone. Its basic plot revolves around a man who is to be hung, but the rope breaks right before his death and he runs home to his wife...only to find out he is merely hallucinating...the rope never broke and he is hung.

The second (and more curious) reference is to the classic episode "Static." In that ep., an old man in a nursing home uses a classic radio to pick up long canceled radio programs (featuring "live" performances by long-dead artists) from his youth, eventually allowing him to travel back in time recapture his past...

The first song he hears on the radio is...
Glenn Miller's "Moonlight Seranade"

Freaky huh? Makes Hurley's "Or any time" remark all the more interesting...

Make of it what you will, I just thought that these were worth noting!
