If so, he seemed like he was a "good" guy to me. Even though I don't remember he face, I remember him being really positive as opposed to John's negative attitude about the accident.

Abbadon was not the orderly that was present when Locke first woke up in the hospital after falling down.
As for whether Abbadon's good or bad- he might have switched sides at some point. (In earlier episodes he seemed to be working for Widmore and in the last one, for the island)
