My question is rather this: OK that Claire was told that Aaron shouldn't be raised by anyone other than his mom. But if Claire is to die in the upcoming episodes, separation is inevitable and someone's got to take care of Aaron, right? Otherwise it's going to be 'let it be' a la National Geographic.

Perhaps Christian's appearance has some warning quality to it for Claire, an attempt to inform her or communicate with her, next to connecting with the grandson.
