To set the scene in question: When they show Kate's LA home it is complete covered with Tropical shrubs, flowers, ect. Now I understand it is warm in LA, but it was complete coverage of more like Hawaii. I understand they prob have to monitor how much they spend, but I think it goes more like this.
That the home was some sort of symbol for how she knows she needs to get back to the island, but cant. (Due to the fact she can not leave the state)
They has been numerous occasions where mult of characters have stated that they weren't sup to leave, and they want or need to go back. I think the writers would/could have found a better way of showing the house if it was not a symbol. I remember seeing in the HD episode (on the computer) saying it was a home in Hawaii somewhere.
Am I the only one who thinks this means something? I couldn't find any threads that had this theory, so I hope I am not repeating anything.
Could this be forshadowing Kate's need/want to go back to the island..
