most everyone has survived ingeries that would have killed lesser mortals....Mike: poisoned,slashed by a pig,Locke:rope burned hands,huge splinter in leg,ect,ect--Charlie :hit in the head with a bag of rocks,hung by the neck 'til dead,Syied:huge splinter in leg while caught in snare, hit on head ,Jin:nearly drowned,hit with"Jesus Stick"...well it gos on from there
