I don't think they had any significant scenes together, but I think it is reasonable to assume that they were aware of each other.

Desmond appeared offshore in his boat. The entire beach camp knew this and I think that would make it plausible that every single person there would recognize Desmond. Including Michael.

Desmond was mostly drunk during the days following his return and before Michael led Hurley, Jack, Kate, and Sawyer to the others camp so.... maybe Des doesn't recognize Michael.

I think he did, but I can see where he might not have.


Also I agree with Darnzy and Wednighter. Des has his memory back now. This was confirmed at the end of the Constant:

SAYID: I'm sorry. The power source went dead, it's all we have.

DESMOND: Thank you, Sayid. It was enough.

SAYID: Are you alright now?

DESMOND: Aye. I'm perfect.
