Notice too how parts of the map are marked unknown like the blast door map.. Maybe it was something that was in the journal from the BlackRock that Whitmore bought at the auction.. Made copies to help them find their way around???

Maybe it is to show how long she has been on the Island? Hanso helped create Dharma.. Maybe she was one of the Lucky ones Ben talks about that didn't end up in the pit?
