i have to agree wit hteh earlier post about the sale of the ledger.
WHY would a member of the hanso family sell the book just to the highest bidder? WHY do they need the money?
if they just wanted to sell to a particular person then why not just do a private sale? I.e. whitmore. his company provided the pregnancy test for Darhma so we already know they are connected business wise.
as for pirates, how would they be legally be allowed to sell it at a auction? and if the book is a trasure map then surely they would go there and find said treasure.
IT MAKES NO SENCE TO SELL THE BOOK.
