Ok if she put it in the book after she gave him her phone number and before he goes to prison what happens from when he leaves her house to when he goes to jail?
I also thought that if Mr. Whitmore could get all the letters that Des sent to Penny I am sure she could find out who could pull strings for her to get the letter in the book.. I can see at some point between she put it in though.. Just throwing ideas out there.
