I thought Kate's statement "You've got blood" was strange. Most people would have finished that sentence with "...on your hands." Which might be exactly what John is going to end up with - someone's blood on his hands (well, I guess he already has Boone's blood on his hands), but maybe he is going to do something severe...

Then John's statement of "I just killed a chicken" was interesting to me, too.In slang terms a chicken is a coward. Desmond was a coward in the army and is looking for his honor; John was a coward (?) and had to get Sawyer to kill his dad, Anthony Cooper - so I just started wondering if that statement was about doing something to someone else or himself and not just a bird!
