Juliet told us that pregnant women on the Island die right?

Well in the last episode did it not say that Danielle was the mother of Ben's Daughter? Alex?

And she was pregnant on the Island because she said she set the radio message off 3 days before she gave birth.

This really confused me, is Juliet lying to the "losties"
Or is there something special about Danielle?

What are your views on this?

Danielle was pregnant when she came to the island, so like claire she gave birth sucessfully

But Isnt Ben Alex's father?
If so then does that mean Ben Left the Island at one point?

well, i thought that after the others took alex, she was raised by ben, she would have no reason to doubt that ben was her father, after all she was took just after she was born.

when she met Rousseau she seemed very surprised by it all and didnt seem to have any idea about her

correct, Michelle, Danielle claimed Alex's real father was someone named Robert - Ben just raised Alex after the Others took her. (at least, that's the info we have right now...I guess with Lost, anyone could be lying...)

yeah it wouldnt surprise me if it went the other way and ben is alex's real father, but if we look at what we know:

the others take children
all the pregnant women on the island die
Rousseau took claires baby to get her own back

i would think that Rousseau being pregnant when coming to the island and her child being taken by the others and raised by ben seems like the more likly answer

hey guys, i just posted a theory on this very topic, well, sort of. And after thinking the way I did for that theory, what if Ben brainwashed Danielle into thinking that she was on a ship that got marooned, that she was pregnant already, to fool Jacob/Smokey that this woman did not concieve on the island and was not subject to the pain and death of those who concieved on island. But Ben's plan backfired when the newly named Danielle Rouseau decided to live in the jungle because of her false memories. think about it, she says I had to kill everyone, like Ben ACTUALLY did!

Wow, I have to add to that theory now, because this gave me a host of other ideas. Think about his, Ben never wanted the message from 'Danielle' changed from the radio tower, he wanted those chance people to come flying in, so he could get maybe new pregnat women... hmm. that would also mean that John Lock is Ben Linus' son, since Ben seems to name everyone after a philosopher of a book that he carries around during his caravans!

hey CableRunner, if this is true, and in that case Danielle was brainwashed, and thinks she killed the rest of her team because they "got sick" do you think that at the time of the purge the hostiles referred to the dharma people as "sick" because of what they were doing on the island and decided to wipe out the sickness. and this is why there is a whole myth of theire being a sickness

I'm not sure Michelle, I just had this idea that Ben might actually be alex's father, that Danielle is his friend from childhood (forget her name) and he brainwashed her to forget the slaughter that ben caused, and is tricking Smokey by having it scan a woman who now doesn't associate herself with dharma, but with a crashed research vessel. Does this make sense?

yeah you mean she was annie?? i think that was her name if he did brain wash her in this fasion as you say, then why would he not take her aswell claiming she was a "good person" if he can brain wash her into believeing she was on a sail boat then surely he could brainwash her into whatever a good person to the others is
