Radio tower

Seemed strange that once the losties knew they had disabled the jamming signal from the looking glass,they went into the radio tower which was fully kitted out,then rather than use the radio in the tower went on to use the sat phone ?
Also if the looking glass had beeen jamming signals for a long time,how come ben still had communications with the outside world ,stuff like tv broadcasts etc

And they also showed Juliete her sister (in real time... we assue)..

I agree there are many inconsistances about signals being jammed but it just adds more and more questions .. which hopefully may be answered in S4

maybe - just maybe - ben had a walkie talkie that he called cyclops on and told the chicks to unblock when he needed to broadcast....would only be brief so only Danieelles sugnal would briefly be broadcast so chances of being heard are small and would no doubt not make much sense...also how for does it broadcast...is she clever enough for long range...

Probably I never thought about that...

there can be more than one signal in any given area...

werent all the signals blocked except bens? thats wat i thought at least lol

There is a big theme of TIME in this show. I've been saying it for a long time. I don't know what it is but some how some way there is a screwy TIME issue brewing

Agreed. Our concept of time is very limited.

for example. right now its.. 515pm in cali.. but for Wednighter in chi town.. its already sundown... same time. different experiences... oooh eeeire. ( cue spooky music )

(if the island were somehow inside the earth... IE closer to the core ( maybe a few layers of crust down..... then the time would be sped up... vise versa if the island is floating in the clouds...) ha ha

I see it happeing like the LANGOLIERS... ( stephen king ) where they are in a tie that is moving slower than the world around... or so the electromagnetic forces of the island make it seem...

mikhail said early on that since the hatch blowing up season2 all outside world comms had failed - which is why ben could show jack whats happened on tv and julliete her sister, because it was before that.

The looking glass only jammed comms from sending/recieveing outside the island - not on the island

So one would assume that ben used the hatch blast to his advantage - to stop all his unhappy followers from bailing on him
