Clues that it was a "flash-forward" - Page 5

Its kinda like Gilligan's Island...They crash on an island, theytry to find ways to get off, and when they do...they wanna go back...

Remember when Ben said to Jack that he was going to kill alot of people like he did way back to the Dharma settlement? Perhaps, Jack has to make another decision, selfish, one at that to get off the island that results in only two or three people being rescued. That guilt may be what's making him nutty in the future.

I'm with the person that said that we're in present time and that all we've seen this far from the show are flashbacks.

benmer007, your theory about the flashforwards actually being in present time with jack off the island, as if he were thinking those things is a very good one! I definitely see this as a possibility.

I only assumed that were were shown the future. But my thought was also that 'this could happen, if that happens'...So that it's not actually going to happen, but it's one of the ways it could happen. Gah, hope I'm making sense.

i guess the creators of lost are messing with ppls mind. the guy looks exactly like mathew fox in the snow scene. oops.

yeah i was extremely tired when i watched the episode and thanks largely inpart to everyones help i realize it wasnt christian in the hospital. i'm always looking for things because i dont put it past the writers. all the theories about the episode are great though.
