Who was in the coffin? - Page 18

I too think it is going to be Michael.. He knows how to get to the island or at least close to it.. He could still be going by his new name Kevin Johnson so that could be why no one came to the funeral.. Plus Jack at this point wants to get back to the island badly.. So he might have been one of the few other people who has left and got close to the island and could have told Jack roughly how to get there..

Does anyone find it odd that the Oceanic 6 were so popular but the funeral director didn't seem to reconize Jack.. I know the beard could have thrown him off but it seems odd that he didn't say anything to him about it..

Yeah but the funeral director didn't say anything to him about not being friend or family. Why would he leave him alone with the body if he could have been a foe? I agree with Wed, just little confused on why he would leave Jack alone, or why didn't he try to do a short sermon? Hope I am not repeating anything, I only did a quick scan of most pages of this thread.

Yea I agree it was a little odd that when the funeral director asked Jack if he was friend or family and he answered Neither, it was odd.. then the director just walked out.. I think he saw the distraught (sp?) expressions on Jack's face.. and that is why he gave him a few minutes alone with the coffin.. Pay his last respects and leave..

Well if he didn't recognize him, and thought he looked distraught, I wouldn't leave him alone. One reason is he could be strung out off the streets wanting to steal jewerly from a dead man, or two he might need some Consoling. I am sensitive to the thought of giving him a moment alone, but he didn't do any investigating to who this guy was walking in before he left them alone. Just real weird. Do we know if the director knows the man in the coffin?
