The woman in the accident in the last episode DID look a whole lot like his ex-wife, Sarah. I noticed that right away but forgot all about it afterwards. And it's interesting too that they both were mothers. You may be on to something!

I believe its Jack in the Coffin... how? well the whole flashback is questionable... in my opinion its all like one long day dream from Jack..

For one there is an accident of a women who looks remarkably (from what you see) to his ex-wife, also when his wife comes to visit she is pregnant, and there is a child with the women who was involved with the accident.. It all seems a bit to Past, future present with all the references in the flash back..

And the bit with Kate at the end of the flashback again seems very mysterious and seems to have a glowing effect that makes me think this is part of the day dream.

I am probably wrong but its my theory

I know... it all seemed that time was interweaved... i.e. his dad being dead...

Although is it the first time they have a day dream scenario? Its all weird if you ask me

Default i guess it was walt

Hi there,

my first guess it was Walt, because the coffin seemed rather small. It might have not been, but it seemed. The remark about the neighbourhood makes that guess stronger.

i wouldn't vote for sawyer either, because i think too kate is still living with him.

i'm going to spoil all of this, i dont think it was a flash forward, i think its like what desmond had, but he CAN change it
so call it a possible path for jack... and only locke knows these possilbe paths, thats why he said ' your not suppose to do this ' just a thought eh?

and why would jack be upset that walt died? they didnt talk, and also if it was walk would his dad be there? micheal and his mum... we can rule out walt... i dont think its sawyer..

I do not believe that Jacks reaction was based on his feelings for the person in the casket. Rather, I think he views each fellow survivor as a piece of the puzzle that is necessary to return and fix things. Of course, you are right as usual...we are not meant to have the answer yet. Just ponder it endlessly until we lose our minds and begin drooling and babbling incessantly. It's going to be a long hiatus.

I was thinking in the Ben vs. Locke direction, but from what we can see of the newspaper clipping, I think it is someone who will be introduced next season. My guess: the last person who actually knew where the island was located. Someone involved with Naomi's ship, perhaps, and with the deal that let them off the island.

Here's a good puzzle! The doctor called to operate on the crash victim is Dr. Nadler - which happens to be our resident dentist Bernard's last name. Connections?

Default Ender's Game & Walt

The coffin WAS pretty small. Maybe you're right and it was Walt and the reason Kate was so angry in her response to Jack "Why would I go to THAT funeral?" (or whatever it was) is because Walt has been involved with the Others' vaccine/population control/ or whatever...experiments. Walt did say to Micheal "The take you to this room for experiments." We know Room 23 was used to brainwash Karl. Perhaps Walt has been used for the Others' evil purposes like the child, Ender, was used for genocida; purposes in Ender's Game. If this is what's going on Kate must assume that Walt knew he was being used for evil purposes, unlike Ender.

I think Michael dies before they get off the island. He's just pissed off way too many people and I don't know if there's much more room for his character to grow. What else is there to do with him? I could imagine a sort of Hurley-esque surprise rescue at the end of an upcoming season to get back in the good graces of everyone else, but what else? Not a whole lot.

Whoever it is Jack is upset or discouraged about their death.. Maybe whoever is in the coffin would be their way back to the island.. Jack now wants to go back and thinks it was a mistake to go home.. Kate disagrees..

Well I guess if we can answer all of these questions we will know who is in the coffin... LOL
I posted this in Theory's who is in the coffin..
