Johnathan "John" Locke

Johnathan "John" Locke is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. His paralysis was immediately healed upon crashing on the Island, which has ultimately led him to believe he has some sort of special connection to the Island. He is sometimes shown in antithesis to Benjamin Linus, sharing several traits including the ability to commune with Jacob. Seen as antithetical to Jack Shephard, he and Jack are philosophical opposites and used to share leadership among the survivors, but now seems to be creating his own agenda for his actions on the Island and has broken off from the survivors.

Thanks!

I went back and found the pilot's air date was 9/22/2004.

That's ~970 calendar days to tonight. Works out to about 10 to 1.

I think it's too close to be a coincidence.

It should be fairly straightforward to work out a timeline for next season using calendar days to the airing of next season's first to the final episodes and figuring elapsed Island time.

I once had a friend in college make fun of my liking a certain song by burning me a disc with that same song on it over and over and over and over until the disc was full. Maybe that's what the DriveShaft Greatest Hits album was - You All EveryBody over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

I see stars die all the time and within 24 hours they have a 2 hour show on thier life on E-Entertainment Network.
When a musical group has a couple of albums (and DS may have had only 1, don't know for sure.) it would take a half day to assemble them into a greatest hits. It's just recording them. I imagine with a little push to get it out while there is interest, they could manage it in less than a month.
With fame so fleeting and attention span of people so short, another 2-4 weeks and it's old news. Another month and it's forgotten.
The greatest hits project might have started as soon as the plane went down, before they "found" the plane.

Likely she is lying.
But I don't doubt at all that a record company could get out a compilation album in less than 30 days, if motivated. Probably even 10 days.

a missing plane they would be looking for from the moment they realised it was missing, this could have been found as early as a few hours after it when down, especially if they found it somehwere along the right path it should have been on, a few days to survey the bodies, they knew who boarded the flight from the boarding cards collected on boarding right, so if its landed in the middle of the ocean and after say 24 hours you can safely presume if no-one has been found alive who boarded the plane they have all drowned. hence an announcements of the deaths will be made quite quickly to the families to give them closure. say 2 weeks at most. a greatest hits album would just mean putting all their old hits on one disk, which wouldnt take much time at all seen as they had already been recorded a month probably to promote it while its being prepared, if that, they wont need much media attention with the plane crash being on the news. then the album would be everywhere, but hype dies down really quickly these days, it would soon be forgotten when something new happened, so i think its entirely plausable that its possible in 90 days

I do not think they re-record greatest Hits albums.
I think they just get the pre-recorded songs from previous albums and compile them in to one great ultimate mega awesome album!

And that wont take very long at all.

Also I went back and started to watch season one again.
In the caves while Locke and Charlie are alone they talk about Drive Shaft. Locke was a great Fan.
He said he owned BOTH their albums, but Charlie really broke away with his solo work.
So that mean DS had two albums and Charlie had a solo one.
Three albums is plenty to make a greatest hits album.
