I noticed in the promo for the finale Rose says to someone "There were supposed to be THREE explosions!" - so does Bernard hit the mark but there's no boom and he either gets captured or blown up?

I see kind of a political signifigance, for three different countries with different ideals. America, Iraq, and Korea. But these three people are working together to fight for one cause, the safety of their friends and loved ones. Is there a point to this signifigance? thoughts anybody?

I was a little surprised that Sawyer didn't voluteer to help shoot the guns. Is he wanting to stay close to his sweetie, Kate?

In any case, Rose & Bernard looked to me like a sweet couple only for a short while..I quickly lost my interest as they turned out to be most caricature-like characters of all Losties- mature couple finds love too late, lives on stolen time, shares unique connection, a bit of opposites' attraction, guy's too naive and the gal is so full of wisdom she makes everyone feel they were born yesterday. YET you haven't done a darn thing for Losties community, Rose, so you might as well like to do something about that sad and suspicious face for next season and spare your poor guy from some of that "watch and learn" thing...or from the constant implication that Bernard doesn't know what he's doing half the time.

I hate it how patronizing and over-protecting become the ultimate expression of affection, or some sort of relation-ritual for (many) long-term couples. Doesn't have to be real or personally involving either, it's a turn off, even on screen. If I knew that Bernard could make it solo, I'd say let's just give Rose to Others.. Why not telling Ben that she's expecting twins?--that'll keep her away for a while..

I think Sawyer wants to go with Kate to help protect her.. I think the chances are good that the others were planning on taking her too and he wants to be there to defend her!
