Mr. Eko

Eko, also known as Mr. Eko or Father Tunde, was one of the tail section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. He was a notorious war lord and drug smuggler in Nigeria before his brother Yemi's death. To get out of his country he hastily became a priest, but after Yemi's death, he seemed to take his role more seriously. Eko survived on the Island for 72 days before he was killed by the Monster.

We knew she survived since John Locke inspected Nadia's home in L.A when he had his own home inspection business.. This is just another character connection..

Sayid-- Nadia= childhood friends, Sayid was supposed to torture her in first Iraq war

Locke-- Nadia= Home inspection in LA

Charlie-- Nadia = Saves her from a mugger in London..

IS that everyone who has crossed paths with Nadia? Anyone else remember any others?

If he die’s in the next episode then I guess I can see how his flash backs might be ok, I know some of you enjoy his character and felt he deserves a proper farewell but where were Eko’s greatest hits? If we were to do this for every character the show will go no where.

I just think if the audience wanted to see a cliche emotional/love scenes we’d watch Grey’s Anatomy. ABC already has all the “love drama, final kiss moments” in that show why incorporate it in LOST. But I guess most of you enjoy that stuff so they continue incorporating it in the shows.

Frog “This show is not reality based, it is pure fantasy.” Uh no its not, the whole point of Lost is that what the “losties” are experiencing is real not fake.

Cable “And besides, Claire is sweet AND hot, I'm sure Charlie didn't meet many of those types of girls as a nobody, then a rocker, then a drug abuser!” How many times did you have to pause while you were writing this sentence because you were laughing so hard that you couldn’t believe you were actually writing this?
Two hot blonds or one semi hot Prego blond. Yes you are right

Froggie, I stand corrected, the show is clearly fantasy not reality.
What you are writing in this thread is a total deconstruction of the episode, which is so unfortunate. Deconstruction only breaks topics down into tiny specific points which then become boring. Let's face it the last half of the season has had so much to do with charlie's eventual demise, and charlie has been many people's favorite charachter, so why not give him a good send off? As for eko, he was a great character, but he did not have desmond there to tell him he was going to die, therefore no greatest hits. you said it yourself if this happened for EVERY charachter we'd go nowhere. Another point ,this show runs the gambit of human emotions so love of course will rear it's ugly head wether(sp?) anyone likes it or not. I guess my point is in talking about these little things you're missing the "big picture"

The woman being mugged in London was sayid's girlfriend I think, and Juliet said that she didn't know where the looking glass was as nobody goes down there because it is out of use but the power is still there to block all signals apart from the others sidgnal.
The two girls down there though are they prisoners ? somone said that it is Ben's girlfriend from the darhma project? and the girl is rusos daughter? makes sense to me. where do they get food from and drinking water? if it is the people i mentioned then they have been there for 17 years or so.

What an opportune moment to pull out that map and start debriefing everyone about where its at and how to get to it.
There were a ton of maps in the Dharmas Wagon that hurley jump starts... Sayid is a thief and keeping certain things to himself... and spending 1 minute shoing one of our guys riffling through fiels and taking the ones that looked good is often times outweighed by character developement. Working in the biz... if the character dev isnt there then jus like jericho and other bad shows... PEACE OUT. take it from SMALLVILLE. characters keep fans. there will always be things that people aare looking for... for you its a detailed explanation of who aquired maps from whom and for how much.. but to answer thouse questions would be pointless with all the other questions we arleady have.

I don’t see how that hatch can generate its own power so I’m guessing the cord running to it is providing it.
Are you an explosives specialist? do you remember what happened when the first hatch blew up... ? yeah craziness. psychic people and polar bears and such... i think the cord is for communication purposes only... the hatch is self sustained like the other hatches.

That should have been number one! But noooo meeting Claire was, how cliché!

I'll tell you one thing... there comes a time in every celebrities life where you go... why are there skanks in my bed again... ???? i need a real woman... down to earth and one that i dont need to spend $2000 a night to impress. ( hoes like the ones in his bed )

For those of us playboys. you may remember the bunnys you bounced around with time and time again on those permiscuous summer nights in the grotto. but your favorite is the one who shared your love, cared when others wouldnt. I would have wanted charlie to die had they done it the way you want. That would have been just dumb. he would have been the same character as when he arrived at the island. big whoop deee doo. not interesting. and not worth keeping... but now hes a good person and desmond saw that and wanted to save him at the end..

MOST people wouldn't analyze the show to death like we do here, and this was one of those episodes for them.. yet, I'm sure there are deeper meanings, and we did get some new characters and a buildup for the finally.

I'm sorry, the epi gets a 7 ou of 10 in my book, and the two blondes in the bed maybe a 4 out of 10, where Claire is a 9 out of 10.
so, over all the show is a 6 out of 10.. law of averages. This post, a 3 out of 10, since it garnered a lot of responses.
A cable rant... lovely. You said most of it brother. again the yin to my yang.

I'll give Kate and Claire and nikki's still live body all better scores than the blond bimbos charlie paid for...

No I’m not an explosive expert but I have a thing called commonsense. If there is a cord connecting to the hatch that LOOKS like it could be powering an underground switch that I need to turn off, a little light in my head would flicker and it would tell me to try to cut the cord that looks like it transmitting power to it FIRST before diving into the abyss like aqua man. If this fails THEN you dive in! It never hurts to think a little buddy!

“I'll tell you one thing... there comes a time in every celebrities life where you go... why are there skanks in my bed again... ???? i need a real woman... down to earth and one that i dont need to spend $2000 a night to impress. ( hoes like the ones in his bed )”

In your words “Are you a celebrity love expert”? What do you know about what celebrities feel or don’t feel. Obviously you know very little because almost every male celebrity is promiscuous and those skanks you talk about are who they engage their time with so those skanks must be doing something right. All I said was in real life 95% of men in this earth would rate a night with two hot women # 1 over a night they met a prego chick! It’s just a little thing called 3some and in this perverted world unfortunately its almost EVERY MANS FANTASY! And that would probably be number one on any man’s list if they ever encountered it. But I guess there are always those odd insecure, oversensitive, emotional BOYS that thirst for that romantic love affair and that constant life long journey to find there perfect soul mate. You really need to stop watching t.v buddy and grow a pair!

Here is some advise, stop watching drama series t.v, go to the gym, make yourself presentable and enjoy life for what it is not what t.v perceives it to be. No matter what you read, what your told, “t.v love” does not exist. The only real love you will ever encounter is the unconditional love you have towards your children, mother and father. So if you want to lie to yourself that’s fine but don’t bring that love bird bullshyt here, you aren’t fooling nobody and your not getting any brownie points with none of the ladies here.

The floor is yours
