Default Will Charlie Die?

It seems foreshadowed that Charlie will die in this episode. Could we be in for a twist though? Suppose he doesn't. What if at the moment he was going to die fate or Desmond or something slipped in and Claire died. Wouldn't that make the Charlie character much more interesting? Dealing with her death, raising Aaron and knowing it was all his fault. That could drive him back to heroin. Its just a thought of something different and unexpected that might happen.

I kinda hope he just dies already. I am sure all the Charlie groupies will stone me for saying that, but I am just tired of the whole death vision and Des saving him story line.
What your suggesting is a cool idea, and yeah I think it is a safe bet that the writers put an interesting spin on things.
Either way I just hope that GH puts an end to this story line with Charlie one way or another.

I totally agree, folie, I'm tired of the "saving Charlie" stuff, too. Whoever has to die, be it Charlie or someone else, I'm fine with it, as long as it means we can get away from Des having to save Charlie every few episodes!

The death cloud hanging over Charlie's head is causing me stress. I want them to end that little storyline too but not by killing him! One thing I have learned this season is that the promos cannot be trusted! I wonder if they people putting them together even know what is going on with the show... Like the one where it said 'three big questions will be answered' and there was nothing really on that particular episode that answered any big questions. They try to hard on the promos. And often make it look like someone is going to die. So by that logic I say Charlie doesn't die, its too obvious and they wouldn't tell us exactly what is going to happen.

I'm with Folie and Logan - First I had to see "Saving Private Ryan", then I had to "Save the Cheerleader; Save the World" and those were both really difficult. I tried saving Charlie as long as I could, but - I think the good of the "Penny and Desmond back together" outweigh the the good of "saving Charlie." Sorry, Charlie!

The show won't quite be the same without Charlie though. Charlie and Hurley are the comic relief. And with all the craziness that happens on the island, and the seriousness and plotting and whatnot that goes on with Locke and Jack and even Kate etc. It is nice to have their perspective on things. Like when Charlie asks Eko 'what are you going to do, beat me with your Jesus Stick'. I can identify more with Hurley and Charlie's take on things. They react to the absurdity of it all, the way I would react. I'm going to be totally bummed if he bites the big one.
