Ana-Lucia Cortez

Ana-Lucia Cortez was an ex-police officer who sat in the tail section of Flight 815 when it crashed. She took a leadership role in the group and led her party across the Island, reuniting them with the rest of the passengers. Okay, so many scenarios here. Say Cooper isn't Locke's dad, he would've had to hire someone to get random medical files and find himself a match, finds John Locke who has no known parents. Score! So he hires a stranger to pretend to be Locke's mom, etc. But then if Cooper wasn't Locke's real dad I think he'd tell him. He got his kidney, why keep up the con? He was annoyed by Locke and wanted him to leave him alone so why not just tell him, go away I am not your dad. And he tells Sawyer in the brig that Locke is his son. If Locke's mom is Ben's mom then there is no immaculate conception theory because it isn't the same woman who said that.

^^Hey, I just stir the pot, I don't put in the ingredients. But Cooper also told Sawyer he didn't raise no fool, but do you think for a minute Cooper did any 'raising' of Locke?

I'm guessing now too that the woman who pretended to be Locke's mom was just that, pretend. Think about it, she said Cooper, which probably wasn't the name he would have used at the time of that con. I don't know. it's tough, I just can't see Cooper as Locke's dad, I believe there is a deeper connection here.

Cooper would have stuck to his con story as long as it suited him somehow. Having Locke continue to believe he was his father made him vulnerable, easy to use in a pinch. (which he did several times) It also made it less likely that he would hunt him down and take his kidney back the hard way. In the end, Locke's need to believe this monster was his father allowed him to alert Cooper to being found out by his last victims son, so he could murder him. Then he still lied to the police for him. All quite helpful to the con man.

Whoa! Did anyone ever catch that before? I didn't...

"Aunt Bea" is a reference to The Andy Griffith Show.

But more importantly, another Bea on Lost is Bea Klugh (clue?), I wonder if she was somehow involved back in the real world? We may never know, because Mikhail shot Bea a few episodes back...
