Boone Carlyle

Boone Carlyle was a middle section survivor of Oceanic Flight 815 and was Shannon's stepbrother. He attempted to assume a semi-leadership role with the survivors but failed due to being rash and young, though he became Locke's apprentice when the two formed a close bond. Boone survived on the Island for 41 days before he died of injuries sustained in a fall whilst he tried to contact 'rescuers' from the drug smugglers' plane. According to Locke, Boone was a sacrifice the Island demanded.

Originally when Ben was prisoner Henry Gale I thought he didn't know anything (or very little) about the Swan. And yeah D&C did mention in a podcast that it wasn't clear how much Ben, Tom, Richard, the Professor and Mary Ann knew about the Swan.
But after see TMBTC I think that at the very least Ben had to have been aware of its existance, because after all his dad wore a Swan patch. And Roger talked about making deliveries to the Pearl and Flame. Later an older Ben and his dad drive off in the van to deliver station supplies so I think it is likely that at some point they made a delivery to the Swan. Maybe Ben as Henry Gale was just the first time he was inside the Swan station. Of course still doesn't explain why Ben and company apparently left the Swan alone after the purge.

That's a great point- I think most of us are familiar with camping to some degree, and even a pro. mountaineering tent (those small, ultra short and light ones), basic cooking-ware, a sleeping bag and a matress easily fills a 60-80lt back-pack (12-14.5 kg). There seems to be no way Other's camp (with all those colonial-style tents and Ben's books) could be packed and carried on people's backs..
