Richard was an "Other", and used Ben to eventually betray the "DHARMA Initiative". This means that Ben and everyone else are "The Others", and there are still people on the island who are the original "Others".

See, I still believe that Richard and his kind are the hostiles, having nothing to do with the Dharma Initiative. This island has the ability to heal, and apparently preserve life, they were trying to keep it a secret, and that is what started the war. Ben just made a deal with them, and is now running the show.

exactly what i think about it too. And also Ben was their access, their way to sneak in and kill everyone. He doesn't even show any remorse, which kind of scares me. He has that survival of the fittest mentality. The only hint of regret came out of him holding the doll that Annie gave him.

Do we think Annie is alive, because right before Richard came into Ben's tent he was holding a doll.

^^ im assuming she is dead as well. He holds the dolls as a reminder of her i think. Also she gave it to him on his bday and we know it was Ben's bday.

She's probably dead which shows how ruthless and cold and evil Ben is.

Is it even possible that the reason Richard looks younger is because maybe one of the properties of the island is like a fountian of youth? They did say that things occur on the island only there and no where else.... Just a thought that came to me..

If Jacob is the Big Dawg why would he say "help me" to Locke?

That is strange. How could Locke "help him?" Maybe he means it like join me or something like that. Help me run the island, I dunno?

Interesting. But how does one achieve it and what is its secret. Because we see that Richard has, but not Ben. You would think someone that power-hungry would want to be able to gain it. Ben is def. not in touch with the island, as we see that he was not healing as Locke did, and maybe this also has something to do with it.
