Naomi's name is revealed, although ABC had placed it on press releases for the previous two episodes.

The "column" where Cooper is tied to was referred to by Ben as an "old place", suggesting it has been on the Island for a very long time. It seems very plausible that the structure has some connection to the four-toed statue.

The files that Richard gives to Locke include a police report in French, labeled "Ford, James (aka. Sawyer)".

Zack and Emma, the kidnapped tail section children, are shown in the Others camp along with Cindy.

When the satellite phone searches for a channel, it shows its point of origin as being on the West Coast of North America.

I don't know if they do speak any french in Austrilla, but it does seem odd that James Ford is in french.. Does that mean that Locke can read french?

Indonesia has French-speaking locations, and there was the Phu Ket discussion between Jack and James.

Or there might be a direct France connection since we know Sayid was in Paris, maybe Sawyer ate at the restaraunt where Sayid was a chef, Losties pop up in each other's flashbacks - so maybe there is a FRENCH CONNECTION (ha ha)

Maybe it s a "Heart of Darkness" kind of vibe.
