Desmond David Hume
Desmond David Hume was the lone resident of the Swan at the time of the Flight 815 crash. He was discovered by Locke, Kate and Jack a month later after they had blown open Hatch. After his failed attempts to leave the Island, Desmond joined the camp of survivors. Following the destruction of the Swan, Desmond gained a mysterious ability to see flashes of the future, with which he predicted Charlie's imminent death.

That's what I think, too. No expert in physics here but if a plane crashes into the ocean and its wreckage is to be found that deep, would not the bodies get drastically crashed or sandwiched due to sudden exposure to high-pressure? I'm referring to the speed of falling and the natural force of resistance coming from the meeting of bodies of plane and water (which, btw, would make a cement-floor effect when you fall from air-traffic height)..

Using the link below you will find a company which has built a vessel capable of diving depths over 20,000 deep and able to fit 3 people in it. I copied a paragraph for those who do not wish to read the whole article.
Link Deep Ocean Expeditions
“In early 2000 he got together with Michael McDowell, an Australian entrepreneur and adventurer who is the CEO of a company called Deep Ocean Expeditions (DOE). DOE regularly charters the Russian research ship Akademik Mistivlav Keldysh and its two Mir submersibles of offer tourist dives to famous places on the seafloor of the world ocean. At 6,500 tons, it is the world's largest oceanographic vessel while the Mirs are capable of diving with three people to depths as great as 20,000 feet. This depth capability meant that they could reach 98% of the seafloor worldwide.”
Now as far as the bodies crushing due to the ocean pressure I’m not sure, but Naomi did say something in the regards of vessels taking pictures of the bodies in the plane. Now I am assuming the bodies were in tacked. Enough so that they were able to be properly identified, which must mean they weren’t crushed but what did they use to identify them? Blood samples, teeth, bones, hair? I mean how did the others manage to replicate any of that?

Jacques Cousteau led an expedition to the bottom of the Marianas Trench in the mid to late Sixties in the submersible Trieste. I can't recall the maximum depth they recorded, but it was approaching 30,000 feet. And that was with 40 year-old technology.

The vessel that Jacques Cousteau had was air tight and had renforcements to withstand deep sea pressure, a plane that broke apart on the surface, if we are in agreement that it did, wouldn't do so well under that same pressure. I believe the finding of 815 was somehow a hoax, simply because of the fact that the plane was off course, and had lost communications. It would be impossible to even know where to start looking for this plane wreckage.

I found this link which says that The Losties said they were heading toward Fiji & Desmond made referance to Fiji as well.. Then Bali is thousands of miles east of Fiji so the wreckage they found was no where near where they are!
|
This is another reason I think the wreckage they found is a hoax. Thanks Wednighter, again!

Anthony Cooper is John Locke's biological father. I think that was the main reason he conned Locke for the kidney instead of someone else. Since Locke was really his son the chances of a successful kidney transplant would be much greater.
