Well if your theory is right about "D.I" or the "Others" convincing the world the plane was found and there were no survivors then the Naomi line may not be useless. But I find it hard to believe they could pull that off unless the “D.I” and the “Others” are apart of some government conspiracy. We all know the investigation on the plan crash would have been thorough and not take someone’s word that there were no survivors. I’m sure an autopsy would have showed at least one of the fake planted bodies did not match one of passengers on the plane. I mean with all the money and power Sun’s father has I’m sure he would have wanted the body investigated and recovered; unless it disintegrated I don’t know it seems pretty crazy to pull that off. But I guess it’s possible.

Mikhail was only MOSTLY dead, and the island is the chocolate-covered miracle pill. But he has to wait a good half hour until he goes swimming.

I agree, and because he was only mostly dead that means he was slightly alive, which is better than nothing. So he must have had something really important and worth living for. Was it true love??
