When Sun Got Pregnant

I found this on Lostpedia.. Thought it was a good catch and we may want to look farther into it...

Jin was very angry at his wife during the events of "...In Translation" (day 33) and the days afterward, and it was only when he left on the raft in "Exodus, Part 1" on day 44 that he forgave her. Therefore, it is unlikely that conception occurred later than day 33.
Ultrasound measurement tests are not particularly reliable. Juliet said "about 8 weeks", which is 56 days, not "53 days" as she said. This could easily be off by a week or even two, allowing the conception to occur before day 33.

I know when I had my ultrasound done the time they said I got pregnant was off by about a week if I remember right and my due date was off by about a week also..

Should we assume that Juliet is being truthful? What if she knows the baby was conceived pre-island, yet she wants to be able to study the pregnancy. Is Sun more likely to allow Juliet to be more involved if she feels like she needs her to save her life? Is the fact the she gave Ben the same info mean it is true, or just keeping the upper hand by her being the only one who knows for certain? I am not sure I take these sonogram results as gospel at this point due to accuracy issues and the Juliet factor.

I would not trust Juliet about anything~execpt that she hates Ben..However,she must work with him to get off the Island.

What if she told Sun and Ben that she concieved on island so that she could tell Sun good news and have a case that was not on island that she could say was and come up with some cure so that she could go home??? Just another thought.. Don't know that I believe it but another aspect to look at or concider

Maybe the Others will fake Sun's death, and take her captive until the baby is born. I bet Sun was pregnant when she got there, Juliette lied to curry more favor with Ben, and now they are planning to take sun's baby. If you noticed, the Medical staion was all clean again, shiny, unlike when Kate Danielle and Claire visited last, iit was grimy and more abandoned-for-awhile looking.

I was actually really thinking this myself. I'm glad you brought it up. We know she is working for Ben, but we can't ignore those words after she shut off the tape recorder: "I hate you."

That and at one point she did approach Jack to kill Ben on the operating table.. This can't be ignored either.. We know she has many reasons to hate Ben.. I still do not trust her but we have to go with the facts that we know.. She wants off this island and Ben will not let it happen until she finishes her work... He said so

With when Sun got pregnant, we also have to take into concideration how long before they came to the island was it when Jae & Sun were together.. If she was working on coming to America and leaving Jin.. The funeral for Jae & then getting on the plane in Sidney it would not add up anyway she would be further along I would think..

agreed...if we are around day 90 of being on the island, and if she conceived pre-island, then she would be at least 3 months pregnant, and would at least be showing a little...she's still flat as a board, so I'm guessing that Juliet's assessment is pretty close to the truth.
