one other reason that makes me think Juliette might be lying is that, like Sun noticed it quickly, Juliette asked on the way to the medical hatch, about the last time Sun & Jin had sex. Sun refused to talk about it and said the ultrasound would tell it anyways. Perhaps Juliette was fishing for more information to carry her plan? I know Sun's belly looks quite flat for pre-island conception but she's a petite Asian lady.

I think Juliette only cared about the pregnancy related stuff. Why would she be fishing for information on Jin and Sun's sex life? Is that her secret mission for Ben? Get some gossip?

When a fertility doctor wants to gather information regarding an early pregnancy, it's hardly considered 'gossip collecting'- doesn't matter if on island on elsewhere, Juliette's question is a medically appropriate one. Had Sun agreed to answer Juliette on this one, more questions would have followed- questions that anybody who's been in a similar doctor-patient situation would know. So "when's the last time you had sex with your husband?" has little gossip factor to it. It's more about who asks when and how- that's what makes it suspicious.

Timing of the question, how Juliette manipulated the conversation when they were walking and Sun's comments on Jack-Juliette-baby conspiracy makes it plausible to think that Juliette's question was an attempt to see if Sun herself would buy Juliette's story about DOC. She would have had to find another way to pull the story if Sun was to say, for instance, that she didn't get much close to her husband since the crash.

A theory debatable just as any other, but I don't know how else to explain it clearly.

Just a thought, the producers of the show went to gtreat lengths to create tension between Sun and Michael in Season 1. There is a theory posted on my sight, linked below. What do you think? A huge twist and it is Michael's.
We do know from Expose that there are things that happen on the island and we do not see. There could me more on island flashbacks.

I have heard this theory before, and I don't buy it. I agree with what you are saying about Expose and island FBs , but I hope that something like Michael and Sun gettin jiggy with it is not part of any island FB ever.

All the tension I saw had to do with cultural and racial issues. Michael grew up in cities where Korean Americans were prejudice against black people. Jin didn't trust or really want to associate with any of the losties in the begining and this was mistaken by Michael as prejudice. Michael accidently sees Sun topless. Then Jin thinks Michael stole the watch. Sun has to reveal she can speak English. and yadda yadda yadda.

Also when did Michael ever have time to knock boots with Sun? He spent all his time griping at Walt, looking for Walt, or yelling at someone else about Walt. Oh and in between all that he was looking for Vincent or building a raft.... twice.

Sun did mention another father candidate besides jin and jae she said "a friend, it shouldn't of happened" this could have been michael she was referring to.

I agree, I understood it as the "friend was Jae". Not another person.

Yea I agree with BabyYo and Folie I also thought she was talking about Jae when she said a friend! Sun did say that if she got pregnant on the island it would be Jin's otherwise she was pregnant from Jae if it was before the crash!
