Bernard Nadler

Bernard Nadler is a tail section survivor of the crash of Oceanic Flight 815 and the husband of Rose. He is the only tail section survivor that has not been killed, captured, or assimilated in to the Others. He wasn't seated in the tail section, and was only there when the plane crashed because he was using the bathroom then. Bernard cares very much for Rose and feels a need to fix things, like her cancer, not dissimilar to Jack.

even better! a ship sitting just outside whatever surrounds the island, I never thoght of that. It makes a lot of sense, a helicopter couldn't possibly come from land out over open seas to a lost island.

That's a really good point Integrated. I mean look at Juiliette, for all that she helps Ben, it's obvious she doesn't being controlled by him. Maybe that's why he was so happy to "die," so that he doesn't have answer to Ben anymore.
