I think that everyone should say who they think Naomi (Girl from helicopter) is. Where she came from, how she found the island, how she knows desmon because she said his name at the end of the spisode and any other information

I believe that Penny is now the leader of an organization going against the likes of her father and his cronies. She uses his money to hire spies, infiltrate the orgainzation, spy on projects, things like that. (Kind of like Rachel Blake in the Lost Exp) penny knows her father made des make the wrong choices, so she is fighting back.
Penny has a network of people, trained military style, but more like spies. One of her top people, the parachutist, either volunteered or was chosen to go through the (**removed by author**) to the island, where the listening station guys located, and bring a message to Desmond. But what the heck do i know.

Yea I think Penny sent her. I mean she had the book with their picture, almost to gain Desmond's trust so he would know she came from Penny. But other than that, I'm not sure.

Just to add a twist.
Could she be sent from Penn's daddy instead, and actually up to no good. Maybe Penny is getting too close for comfort and Widmore sent Naomi to course correct Desmond.

I think Penny sent her to find Des. I was just so relieved when it wasn't her.

Well, either way, the producers did say a war was coming between the Others and our Losties, and for our side to win, i think they would need the help of someone like Penny and perhaps a group that she can bring, and more guns of course.

I think it is quite obvious Naomi was sent to find Desmond. I am not quite sure by whom though. Because, if it was Penny I find it very hard to believe she would not have come in person. If she had good reason to believe Des was there she would have been there in a heartbeat. Maybe Penny's Father, or someone else with a vested interest in Desmonds ability to change future events.

I think it is possible that Penny could have found a way to the island and wasn't sure if it was going to work so she sent a volunteer. I think she recognised Desmond and vice versa because she might have been one of Penny's old friends.
