Easy ladies, the average intake of alcohol, so I hear, for a Scotsman is a lot more that the average American, and they start younger, and I also doubt they label each other alcholics, that's just our weak @ss country wanting to throw labels on everyone. i drink quite a bit, and have fallen off ladders because of it, but I wouldn't consider myself an alkie.

I wouldn't call Desmond an alcoholic either, but it does seem to be something prominent in his life. It may seem like it doesn't effect anything, but I actually think it does. I was wondering what you guys thought of the parallel I made in the first post about him and Kate? Do you think that their behavior pattern of running away and avoidance is damaging? Can they change?
