Sun-Hwa Kwon

Sun-Hwa Kwon (née Paik ?) (Revised Romanization of Korean (RR): Baek Seon-hwa, McCune-Reischauer (MR): Paek So(n'hwa) is one of the middle section survivors of the crash of Oceanic Flight 815. She was traveling on the plane with her husband, Jin-Soo Kwon. Their marriage has been very unstable, on and off the island, mainly due to Jin's controlling and violent nature and also because of Sun's many secrets that she will go to great lengths to protect even if it involves hurting others e.g. the maid in "The Glass Ballerina". She is currently pregnant with Jin's child, and according to Juliet the pregnancy will kill her in two months like every other pregnant woman who conceived on the island.

Question The Lightning Bolt?
I thought it was interesting when we saw Desmond's vision playing out for real and we saw that blue lightning bolt go off by Charlie. Was that how Desmond saw it, almost as a trigger or did it symbolize almost a lightning bulb going off in his head? I'm just wondering how we were supposed to view that? I saw it as symbolism inside of Desmond's mind, but I'm wondering what everyone else thought about it.

hmm, I hadn't thought about it. I really have to watch again, i was distracted, but I did see that. Perhaps this is a vague area, one part his mind knows he can (or has already) change(d).

I don't know about that. Its not like a random bolt of lightning just popped by Charlie's head right before he was going to die. I think it really helps us see how Desmond's visions work. Their is def. something more symbolic going on with it.

Didn't the Greek God Zeus throw bolts of lightning to change events? Or was that just to kill bunnies...?

omg no killing bunnies! But yes he did I think that lightning bolts have been symbols used in mythology and literature throughout history to represent power and change. I mean in Macbeth we see the 3 fate sisters in the beginning of the play accompanied by lightning and we know that they were known for dealing with destiny and changing events.
