Do we think it was the helicopter that splashed out in the ocean? Also if someone can come onto the island without the sub then surely they will be able to leave without it. I wonder if the new character's suit has a beacon of some sort? I am glad that LOST is finally back to my standards of the first season. I think the long break for the third season was well worth it now. I just wish they would put it back on at 9:00 eastern.

yeah, I assumed the helicopter crashed in the water. The noise from the blades and the engines stopped when the splash was seen.

The new character's name is Naomi and she had a satellite phone in her backpack. So it is likely that she has some other gadgets. I wonder if Sayid can do something with the sat-phone.

I bet a sat phone like that would turn itself off if no communication was found, to conserve batteries. And of course we all know there will be no communicating with satellites, right?
Here is the odd thing. Coming to the island wrecked a 747, we saw that. It took apart a chopper, we heard that, but Desmonds boat was good enough for one guy to fix again.
AND, i guess that's what happens to people who aren't sedated or strapped in, the parachutist looked pretty worse for the wear on the last 'leg of that journey'... Ethan was right

The only reason naomi got to the island was that penny said that with lots of money you can find any one. I think that would could of happened
