Desmond David Hume
Desmond David Hume was the lone resident of the Swan at the time of the Flight 815 crash. He was discovered by Locke, Kate and Jack a month later after they had blown open Hatch. After his failed attempts to leave the Island, Desmond joined the camp of survivors. Following the destruction of the Swan, Desmond gained a mysterious ability to see flashes of the future, with which he predicted Charlie's imminent death.

Funnily enough, Benjamin means "son of my right hand."

I was just about to reply to this topic with that same fact. That would be very interesting if they went that way with the story.

I think you guys are talking about the same guy Henry Gale (so as not to upset Benmer ) and Ben Linus. I think Jacob could be his brother - one on island; one off island ( the whole thing with Gary Troup's book "Bad Twin" keeps screaming out to me for a purpose on this show). I think Ben Linus' name could really be Ben Linus DeGroot. I think he is Karen DeGroot's son, and that's who's in the gigantic hamster portrait in Ben's living room.

I always wondered how they got that far off course. But now I believe it was intentional. Then the pilot was conveniently killed before he could spill anymore beans.

Its tought to believe a pilot would willingly fly into his own death. It would have to have been a dharma initiate who then went through all the necessary flight training and get hired by the right company to be willing to die for this cause... Pilots know about thier planes and fuel capacities. The likelyhood that he would agree to a crazy of course location that held no landing strip and possibley not enought fuel to return is slim.

SINDY the stewardess... she was in on it. you know the girl who likes to WATCH... she made sure Jack was well sedated for the crash. ( gave him extra alc.) Studies show that survival rates are higher when the body is relaxed.
