Please someone one verify but in the flame when Mikhail was showing clips to Ben of the news regarding flight 815 I remember hearing the reporter saying something to the regard of the flight 815 had disappeared or can’t be found but if I’m not mistaken in one of the monitors did they not show the plane tearing apart in mid air? If so who shot the video?

There is no footage of the plane tearing apart. This real world footage is extremely intriguing, just sorta confirms that they are still living in the real world, and that the rest of the world knows they have disapeared. It's sort of a relief, confirms it's not all a dream or whatnot :P

This is even more reason that there is some big person with money behind this. Becuase you dont cover up a search for survivors of this magnitude, if there is not a huge reason to.

Hmmm.... Who on this show has lots of money? Well, Hurley, for one, but I don't think it's Hurley. (Whoever goes and digs up $8 million in diamonds?) Mr. Paik? Mr. Widmore? Mr. Hanso?

I don't think they NEED to cover anything up. No-one can find the island therefore no-one can find the survivors.

Just like countless planes and ships from the past have diasappeared without a trace in the areas like the Bermuda Triangle.

I don't think it's a cover up at all, but it was a far reaching arm that could put the proper subjects on a certain plane that's fate has been ascertained. ... say that three times fast...

Proper subjects? I think the crash survivors just had some bad luck. Didn't seem planned to me.
