Why is Jack so stupid? ugh!

Ok so I do like Jack don't get me wrong. But sometimes he is just so stupid! Take this episode. Oh I trust Juliet completely because I saw her eyes when the sub blew up and I know she wants off the island, which makes her one of us. Hello! no it doesn't Jack, it just means shes willing to do whatever it takes to get off the island, including screwing over you and all of your friends. Juliet does not have the same morals as Jack, in this way she is selfish like Michael. Michael was willing to kill 2 people, just to get him and Walt off the island. Like Michael, Juliet will do whatever it is Ben wants her to do in order to get back to her sister. So Jack wake up and listen to Sayid and Sawyer for once jeez!

Jack is very gullible and easy to manipulate if you know what his weakness is. He needs to be a savior. He has to save the damsel in distress, it is his nature. Of course, once he does that he has a connection to her for life. Just as with his wife, he then feels responsible for them. Juliet has been especially set up to have effect on him. She looked like his wife, she is now an outsider like him, and she is marked. So, he projects much of his own feelings into how he views her. Just as Ben knew he would. Even though Jack is gullible, and stubborn and too self righteous to listen to his friends. He will see it clearly soon, and once he does....Juliet better watch her back.

I know hes just so stubborn! We have Sayid telling him not to trust her and that he wants answers, and we know Sayid is trained to get things out of people and detect liars and Jack is behaving like a little kid. No she doesn't have to answer anything, no do as I say, no I'm right and you're wrong wah wah wah. I want to just hand him his baby bottle and put him in the crib next to Aaron. You can trust someone and still be reasonable and be like you know what lets ask her some things.

Ugh!! I REALLY started to dislike Jack this epi!!! "She's under my protection" came across as pretty arrogant. I am becoming totally in love with Sayid. He's asking the right questions, not falling for any of the Others' cons, all that stuff!

Oh I started laughing when he said that Oh shes under my protection. Its like um Jack Sayid can drop you in about 2 seconds, you are not a tough guy lol

LOL! Thank you BabyYo - that is EXACTLY what I thought... you get the protection deal ONLY because of Sayid's restraint, and wish not to be the leader himself.

Hahah Jack is such a wuss Sayid Rocks! Hope he puts Juliet in a chocke hold and then snaps her neck!

I also thought that line was funny. Who does Jack think he is? Tony Soprano? I guess he has fully embraced his leader role.

I have to agree with all of you... Jack is acting "out of his mind" for lack of a better phrase.. In the beginning he was the leader because for the most part everyone trusted his decision making.. Now his actions are causing more distrust of him... I totally loved the Sawyer/Sayid duo last night!! I think they need to continue to take control of the situation of the Losties at the beach if they are going to survive... Espically after the preview for next week, Someone who has actually been in a war may be useful!!!

Once Jack gets an idea in his head he just runs with it. I think he needs another visit from ghostdad. He just can't except that his way is not always the right way. Kinda reminds me of a rookie cop.
