A mini Juliet running around?

So I was wondering about Juliet's flashback and why they needed to show her little "after sex" scene with whats his name? The guy Ana Luica ended up killing. She didn't seem to upset that he was leaving her to go in the survivor's camps and she didn't have some strong emotional connection with him that would allow us to see more into her character. It makes me wonder with all this talk about problems with pregnant women. We now have Sun to worry about, what about Juliet? This little scene could foreshadow Juliet's own possible pregnancy. What do you guys think?

I think the scene with her and Goodwin was meant to show that she might have a personal grudge against the Losties. The same way Pritchet (?) did, only not as immediately violent. Of course, I'm beginning to think that the Others are just two steps ahead of the Losties, I think it's more like a hundred steps ahead. I also think that the Others turned the crash into an experiment. They kidnapped members of the tail section that they wanted to use as laboratory control subjects, and they are letting the beach Losties be the field study. Everything we've seen up to this episode has been the Others manipulating the Losties within the field experiment. It could be they are just waiting around for the women to get pregnant. And on that note.....what happened to Kate when she was on the Hydra station? Was she impregnated?

You know thats interesting. Maybe they try to inject the women with certain hormones or estrogen or whatever to help expediate the process of getting pregnant. They could have done that to Kate when she was captured, hoping that she would be impregnated by Sawyer. But I dont know if Juliet would have a grudge against the losties for killing goodwin (thanks for reminding me of his name btw lol) b/c she really didn't seem to have an emotional attachment to him. He was merely there.

Could it be that they told us Cassidy was pregnant with James Ford child so we knew he was capable? We really don't know if they injected her with anything while she was being held captive and they were on the other island, could mean that she could have been impregnanted I suppose... We have to remember that there are only about 5 days when a woman can get pregnant in a month.. Coinencidece if she did or planned again?

It is entirely possible that I am completely wrong, but isn't it more correct to say that there are about 5 days in a month where a women is most susceptible to getting pregnant.

I think I like the idea of showing Juliet's relationship with Goodwin is a way for the writers to give viewers the impression of a possible grudge Juliet could have toward the losties.

I just didn't see an emotional connection there. Either Juliet is extremly good at hiding her emotions, which really isn't true because we saw the way she reacted when she saw her sister on the live feed or she just didn't have that romantic connection with Goodwin. I saw it more as hey your stuck here so am I lets get it on.

yeah I agree with you. I just think that it could be the writers intention to mislead viewers. Keep people guessing about Juliet. Is she with the losties, is she still working for Ben, or like she said in the show is she really alone now.

Juliet is a cold fish with the exception of her sister. She was not in love with Goodwin. He was not an issue when she demanded to go home, and She had no conflicted feelings about leaving him and the island for good.
So, either he was just a convenient way to pass the time, or he was someone she could manipulate to help her get off the island.

^^ yea exactly how i feel about it. She sort of only blinked when they talked about Ethan being buried on that beach. I don't think she really has emotional attachments to any of these people.

here is another twist...
I just rewatched the episode and when they are in bed together there is a knock at the door. It turns out to be Karl with the Ben's xrays. When they here the knock Juliet tells Goodwin to stay there and like be quiet kinda deal. So I think their relationship was a secret. So...... when Ben orders Goodwin to goto spy on the tail section surviors and Juliet doesn't show emotion, maybe she was hiding her feelings because their relationship was a secret.
Yes? No? Just me being crazy?
