Wwwhhhyyy???...

Here's some stuff that I have been considering since last week's episode, just some questions for us to mull over, you know, keep us occupied, until our favorite time slot on our favorite day o' the week...
WHY....
*does Locke have a bandaged hand and a black eye?
*did the Others all put on gas masks outside if they were moving out right then and if only one person was tossing a gas can into Kate's room?
*were Juliet and Kate drug clear out into the jungle (at risk of running into Smokey) but Sayid and Jack were left at the Barracks?
*were Jack and Kate groggy when they awoke from the gas attack, yet Juliet popped right awake?
*was Jack knocked out for so much longer than Juliet and Kate?
*did Juliet know the locations of Jack and Sayid at the village without searching around?
*(this one isn't a "why", but a "what")*
What is scattered all over the floor in front of Jack when he comes to with Kate? (and WHY was the house so messed up and the front door open?)

Just something to preoccupy our time while we wait....

good questions, especially the *why was Jack knocked out for so much longer than Juliet and Kate? Maybe Jacks in on the whole thing, as in the I have no idea thing.

The others beat him after blowing the sub up. Or better yet Jack smacked him around. When Ben and Richard took Locke to see his dad he was holding his arm/hand funny and he had a black eye.

*did the Others all put on gas masks outside if they were moving out right then and if only one person was tossing a gas can into Kate's room?
Sayid was tied up outside so they gassed him too. And supposably gassed Jack and Juliet too.

*were Juliet and Kate drug clear out into the jungle (at risk of running into Smokey) but Sayid and Jack were left at the Barracks?
Dunno.... just another crazy other mind game.

*were Jack and Kate groggy when they awoke from the gas attack, yet Juliet popped right awake?
Juliet is a super hero with ninja skills....

No idea........

*did Juliet know the locations of Jack and Sayid at the village without searching around?
That is where they were before the gas attack, just assumed they would still be there. Or Juliet is part of a con and she knew.

*What is scattered all over the floor in front of Jack when he comes to with Kate? (and WHY was the house so messed up and the front door open?)
More other mind games. Reminded me of the way the Staff station looked when Kate, Claire, and Danielle investigated it.

I don't think Juliet was gassed. She was either left at the barracks, probably not forcefully just 'Sorry, you are not coming with us' and then she followed their trail through the jungle and found Kate, handcuffed herself and pretended to sleep. OR Walked through the jungle with the rest of the Others and then was told she wasn't coming any further but why in the middle of the jungle? So maybe she had some sort of disagreement with Ben halfway through the jungle so she and Kate were left there. OR She is part of another of Ben's crazy Goonie adventures and is supposed to be infiltrating/spying on our Losties. I like to think that Ben had a plan to get Juliet to spy for him, and in his usual style made it seem like it was her idea. Halfway through the jungle she learns that they are going to throw Kate into a volcano or something so she talks Ben out of it, he leaves Kate with her but it's part of a grander scheme by Ben. Something like that. I think a lot of what the Others do is supposed to be random just so we and the Losties can't make heads or tails of it. Just like them wearing the old ratty clothes. I think Richard Alpert (with his gorgeous eyes) ruffed up Locke, he asked him when uncuffing him if he was going to do anything stupid, like 'Am I going to have to kick your butt again?' I am wondering about the way Juliet looked at smokey when the fence stopped it. It was an odd look. Not scared or relieved, but almost the look you give someone when they throw a water balloon at you and miss. Just a casual, 'ha ha you missed me' or maybe a 'everything is going according to plan, good job'....

In the Q 'Why was Jack knocked out for so much longer than Juliet and Kate?' As you see I think that there is 2 gas cans near Jack. And they might have even gassed Sayid.

To bond with Kate so she wouldn't get left behind again .. hmm

If you look carefully while Kate goes to get Jack, she opens the door and the creepy music sounds. You see 2 gas cans next to what seems to be some pillows, some broken glass and a wheel of some sort. Look carefully.

As folie said, she knew they were there, as part of the plan. Or she thought they were still there even after they had left the village.

Looks to me as bullets. Assuming you mean to the left of the picture. Or to the right of Jack.

I'm thinking Jack was knocked out longer because all of the gas was trapped inside the house with him. Kate and Juliette were outside.

I agree the fresh air probably woke them up sooner, or they gased Jack later than Kate and Juliette.

--Locke was beaten up a bit, or Maybe he fought with his father. you know like and eye for and eye type stuff. i punch you once, you punch me.

Juliet and kate are out there alone becuase its another plot by henry gale. just like the original henry gale infiltration...

-- The stuff all over the place is furniture, a lampshade some broken glass, plates pillows... basically jack probably couldnt see well as there were 3 cans ( I have photos ) of gas put into his place. He was blinded and drugged and fought to get outside only to break a buch of stuff. maybe there was a scuffle. eitherway we see 3 cans and jack is someone we know to put up a fight. this would also explain why he was out so long. ...a triple dose. and yes inside, as opposed to in fresh windy jungle air.

--juliet knowing where they were, the others done have much going on... so the location of thier 4 ONLY POWs would probably have been known to all. and since juliet was in the know (and or a plant) we should assume she knew. ALSO i am sure they were the only select areas with armed gaurds posted outside. dead giveaway.

Also - I don't think it's Juliet....
Juliet brought Kate a sandwich in and woke up in a darker pair of jeans and a little bit different style of shirt ( i think Juliet's shirt hung a little longer and wasn't as tight) and Juliet's hair was down for the sandwich drop and down in the jungle wake up scene - but up for the gas scene, and the hair length is off too. Plus in Benmer's pic above the "juliet" lady has some kind of holster (brown thing) on her right hip and Juliet didn't have that when she awoke in the jungle.
