Jin-Soo Kwon

Jin-Soo Kwon (Revised Romanization of Korean (RR): Gwon Jin-su, McCune-Reischauer (MR): Kwo(n Chin-su) is one of the middle section survivors of Oceanic Flight 815. Jin was born into a poor upbringing with his fisherman father which he has always been ashamed of. After meeting and in order to marry Sun, the love of his life, he was forced into working into his father-in-law's mafia-type business in which he takes part in horrid tasks. This has made him almost scared of what he is capable of. Due to this, he was over-controlling of Sun in their late-marriage stage. Jin is the only survivor to not speak the native language within the group - English. This has caused a constant language barrier but after Sun revealed she spoke English to the group, this helped him overcome this struggle and has managed to pick up disconnected words and phrases.

Default Redemption for Sawyer

I actually loved that Hurley tricked Sawyer into doing good deeds for everyone. He's like that is the lamest con lol. I like seeing Sawyer as a potential leader. It really shows us how much he has developed into a good man, as much he tries to still act like that bad, scruffy boy lol. I thought it was a nice connection seeing Sawyer hold baby aaron, now that we know that Cassidy was pregnant with his child. It allows us to see Sawyer in a softer light, which shows that he would make a great father despite his misdeeds. I love seeing Sawyer embrace his good qualities that have clearly been their hidden all along. However, what will it be like when Jack comes back and claims leadership? Sawyer may fall back into his bad habits, but it would be great to see him continue to progress.

I hope the beach losties ralley around Sawyer because Jack will not be trusted esp with having brought Juliet back with him.
Sayid can tell something is wrong with ol' Jack.

All this time on the island has made Sawyer the conman rusty. I mean I like Hurley but he was able to con Sawyer awful easily.

I never liked "Sawyer", I like James, you know what I'm talking about, that slick, smooth-sounding, southern accented guy (too full of bravado) that's Sawyer. When he's the out-of-his-element, a tad vunerable, you-don't-have-to-be-so-cool-we-like-you-just-being-you James - I adore him! And that's what he was last night - JAMES! Yay!

I agree, I like James better. He really can be a decent guy when he has to be. It was funny seeing Hurley coaching him on how to be "nice" and talk to Clair. He was so awkward. She looked at him like she thought he was nuts!!!! Pretty funny

"Hey Claire. Your baby is uh.. he's not as wrinkley as he was a couple weeks ago. " I love him, see I quite liked the bad boy Sawyer, just because underneath you knew he was a good guy. And how cute is it when he has no idea what he is doing? (:

Plus, wouldn't a 'real' conman know how to talk to a woman. I mean, he didn't have to be honest at that point, he could have pretended he was conning everyone into letting him stay. I think that shows that Sawyer.. uhh, James Ford, is not a real con man, just a soft hearted guy who was fooled real bad, and one too many times.
Plus, I said this once before, he is reading all of the books that the Other's society seems to be based upon. I believe, when it all comes down to it, Sawyer will be the leader of the new occupants of the others camp, except it will be the chosen Losties, and not the Others, Smokey will deal with them.

I've always found it fascinating how well-educated James is (even though it came out during the drinking game with Kate that he had never been to college) - from cultural references (modern and not), to how well he's read, to perhaps traveling. Cablerunner ~ I know the Watership Down book was Boone's, but are most of the books James now reads what remains of the Swan's books (taken before the explosion)? That would be interesting if he was reading all that the Dharma-stocked library had to offer... what Dharma intended for their "subjects" to fill their brain with.

Speaking of books, I feel bad for Des because he knows stuff before it happens. He could see when he is going to die(God forbid), but "Our Mutual Friend" was blown up.

Well, at least now we know he won't commit suicide.

I've no doubt Queen that Sawyer.. James, borrowed from the Dharma library with no intention of making a return.
I'm having a vision here... help me out a bit. A later season, and there is some sort of debate, perhaps between James Ford and Ben, pitting social philosophies against one another, for control of the island, and Sawyer wins, because of the knowledge he has sponged from his time on the island. The winner and his tribe are safe, and control the island, the loser and his tribe get fed to Smokey. ... The losers do not repent

How about that?
