Sun-Hwa Kwon
Sun-Hwa Kwon (née Paik ?) (Revised Romanization of Korean (RR): Baek Seon-hwa, McCune-Reischauer (MR): Paek So(n'hwa) is one of the middle section survivors of the crash of Oceanic Flight 815. She was traveling on the plane with her husband, Jin-Soo Kwon. Their marriage has been very unstable, on and off the island, mainly due to Jin's controlling and violent nature and also because of Sun's many secrets that she will go to great lengths to protect even if it involves hurting others e.g. the maid in "The Glass Ballerina". She is currently pregnant with Jin's child, and according to Juliet the pregnancy will kill her in two months like every other pregnant woman who conceived on the island.

I like Juliet's character so much. I am still holding out that she is a good person. I hope that another Juliet FB will show that after her arrival on the island she realizes she has been mislead and is stuck in a bad situation. Maybe this will allow us to have more sympathy for her. However, it would help if she came to the conclusion that honesty is the best policy when dealing with the losties. Of course the losties themselves could use some help with honesty among each other too.

I know you like Juliet, Folie! I try and be gracious toward Juliet on your behalf! You make a valid point about her though... she seemed a meek and sweet sort of person pre-island... something has happened to her (willingly or unwillingly) to make her have a very cold exterior - a judo-throwing, gun using, coup instigating, stare-down-Smokey chick. It might have to do with the fact that all the men in her life are ... hmmm. what's the word I'm looking for?... how would you describe the guy hit by the bus, Ethan, Goodwin (Goodwin might have been the exception, but he got killed too) and ...ugh!... Ben Linus. I would hope she would have the courage to really change sides and tell EVERYTHING to Sayid, Jack, Sawyer, and Kate (I think the more who know the better), not out of real fear that Sayid will kill her if she doesn't, but because she wants to help the Losties and get out of Ben's grasp. She's the key to the Losties getting a leg up on what's happening on the island and against Ben Linus.

But you can't look at it as real - I know the producers and writers have said that they try and keep it as scientifically real as possible, but there is a black smoke monster - that is not realistic - there is an island that seems to have a life of its own - that is not realistic. I DO think that only 80 days is important, it is a short amount of time to become acclimated to anything after living a lifetime in a civilized society. Our Losties have gone through different stages - when there was the parachute drop of food and everyone came running, and Sawyer was shouting to take it easy, there was a little anarchy going on there. Hurley complained about being left out of the loop. Nobody knew what Locke and Boone were doing going out into the jungle everyday, and obviously, we didn't know about or what Nikki and Paulo were doing. Jack tried to organize an army without Sawyer or Kate's knowledge. Bernard did become frustrated with no one trying to get them rescued and tried to build an S.O.S. signal. I don't think I want it realistic... we get character flashbacks and those are realistic, how everyone realistically acted back in civilization and our Losties did not fare very well. But now you are here on a mysterious island, "everyone gets a new life" - there are no codified laws that our losties have to follow, plus they all are obviously broken people who are struggling with getting that new life which is a more subtle struggle to show but no less powerful than some anarchist uprising against ??? They did all agree with "Live together; die alone" and they are finding there place in that. I really like season three!
