White Light / Black Smoke? - Page 3

Smokey approached Ecko shortly before he died and flashed before him (what some of you call the white light). Smokey seemed to be after Juliette too, and also flashed before her. Could mean she's bound to die soon, but then again, it's just a theory.

Oh no! You could be right, but I hope not. I guess no one is safe. If smokey does get her it would be the first other not killed by one of the losties.

We have no idea what sokey can do. it might be teathered to the ground somehow. we know it explode from under the surface level, but it has never been seen outside of the jungle or tree cover. (ie never on the beach otr out in the fields) So it probably cant go everywhere. and I am sure it gets its power or energy from the island so it needs to stay close.

Locke turning wholely to the Others was a bit of a suprise, but not much, I just would like to see how he dealt with Cooper after their 'meeting'.

I think you are onto something. Just like the Sarlacc and Lenny from an mice and men, Smokey Kills without understanding why. Like a huge baby that doesnt know its power. ( hopefully smokey reads this and comes to get me... i'm ready for him )

THATS IT.... Smokey is the metaphysical formation of roger workman. You see workman was off getting high and drinking beer in his Dharma hippie van. henry Gale somehow finds out about this and sabotages workmans Delivery route. causing him to die... but instead he forms into Smoke. and has been looking for Henry Gale ever since. And since he doesnt have eyes he keeps killing the wrong people.

There's got to be something to the fact that every time we see Smokey we hear chains being unwound and wound around a wench, some sort of steam whistle, and a metallic grinding sound. Is Smokey somehow teathered to the ground, only allowed so much leash out of the cerberus vent?
AND
why have some people seen it as black smoke and others white light. We know that black & white is a reoccuring motif of the show, but what is the determining factor for seeing it in different colors?

Yes and that might indicate a whole infrastructure under the island surface. I would love to see something similar to the bottom of the world in DARK CITY.
