Contnuity Problem?

In the flash backs Locke says that winter is coming there for high tide is coming. If the plane crashed 9-24-04, in the south pacific wouldn't they be coming out of winter and summer is coming? The seasons in the Southern Hemisphere are opposite of the Northern. Unless John is thinking with his Northern mind, but that wouldn't explain high tide. Just curious.

good catch, i didn't even think of that when he said it. You're probably right though, being from the US, he had his Northern hemisphere hat on.

Didn't Michael, Jin, Sawyer, and Walt leave with the raft in a hurry because Artz was talking about the high tide season too?

Nikki said something about Thanksgiving being two weeks ago, so it's Northern Winter, Southern Summer. Maybe summer months in the southern hemisphere have high tide?

A much bigger 'continuity' problem is why the newspaper Paulo read said Sept 24, 2004, when the plane crashed on the 22nd....
