yeah, it is not a big deal that they missed the spider goo on Paulo's neck.
If you wanna be picky I agree that a spider with that potent of a bite would have left a mark at the bite wound that the losties would have seen. But this is a tv show and not the real world so it is completely believable that things would happen just as they did.

If you wanna get really, really picky I found it odd that they buried them so quickly. Everyone else that has died lay around for a couple of days it seemed like. But maybe that was cause there was someone to mourn over them.

Spider bites are very small at first,even Brown Recluse bites,which cause a huge rotted sore after a while...

That's a propa good sudgestion! i did'nt think of that at the time, I mean a spider bite that causes tempary paralising would leave a bit of a mark!......Lame!!
