Desmonds girlfriend

They really should have included desmonds girlfriend in this flashback, this way eveyone but michael and walt would have benn included in this episode.

Yea how do they go from her spending all this money to track him down and then she finally finds him and then she does nothing about it. Its been like 3 weeks. I think she should have tried doing something already.

well that wouldn't really make sense, cuz shes not dead. I mean it was nice seeing some of the characters that died. also i thought it was funny nikki was like i hope we don't end up like those 2 meaning shannon and boone. and look 4 dead bodies lol

Well who's to say she hasn't done anything? She's probably working as hard as she can, she's probably made loads of progress, she just hasn't actually made it to the island yet. It's probably a very difficult process.

I'm with Integrated - I can't imagine Penny spending all of this money to set up listening stations for some signal (Contact-esque) and then not do anything. She told Des (during the jogging steps with Jack scene) that she had a lot of money and with a lot of money you can find anyone. I bet she's looking. They just had to get that annoying Nikki and Paulo off the island for us - kudos on a job well done, producers of Lost.

I don't know Queen, Paulo got a bit of sympathy from me there, and Nikki was an evil *****, which made me like them both even more, and what a horrible way to die. I think this episode had a LOT of easter eggs, ones that will take a rewatching or two to find. And about Penny, remember, she found the anamoly we think because of the explosion, which the Others claim is the reason no one will find the 'island' again, so she may be trying, but failing.

I don't think it is that simple.. Yes she has the money and determination... Time....

I don't think that she could just hop on a plane or boat and bam be there... I think this was a piece of the puzzle for her that she needed to find them but may not be the only thing she needed to get to Des.. She will I have faith in Penny and Desmond being together at least for a moment... Desmond needs to make sure Penny knows that he loves her and if he could go back and do it all again he would.. I think we are expecting too much of Pennny to be there to save the day already!

Absolutely Wednighter - It's going to take a lot of hard work and money from Penny to find Des. But now at least she has a clue. I mean she was looking for some kind of signal - she knew that much (maybe the explosion allowed a homing beacon on the good ship Elizabeth? to send a signal) And I'll give you the "you're right" Cablerunner on the Paulo came across a bit sypathetic, but not very much.

I agree with the general consensus that Penny hasn't given up. But, I'm just generally fustrated with them ending a season on that note, opening up a whole new potential twist in the story, then completely ignoring it happened in the third season.

However, I can't get mad at episodes like this when they are so much fun. In one episode they bumped Nikki and Paolo from an eyesore to an awesome distraction.
